Weirdest M.A.S.K. Merchandise?

We are all aware of the fantastic M.A.S.K. toys, cartoons and comics.  But what about all of the other merchandise that was available back in the day?

The image below appeared on Facebook today and I've shared over on my M.A.S.K. Comics Facebook Page

A pair of M.A.S.K. Trainers/Sneekers!

When I was younger, my Mum and Dad gave me a M.A.S.K. Soap set (I still have them in the loft I believe) and I've heard/seen other items such as Bedspreads, Party Invitations, plates, etc.

So, what's the weirdest piece of M.A.S.K. Merchandise that you have in your collection?  We'd like to find out - please share your images over at the M.A.S.K. Comics Facebook Page.

Community Round-up 22/09/2013

A review of Issue 16 of M.A.S.K. Comic UK can be found Here

Sly Rax steps up to the plate as the centre page golden boy!

A review of Issue 17 is being worked on as we speak but I may delay in posting - give you all a chance to look over the above!

My Friends over at M.A.S.K. Eire are doing a sterling job with new material and scans of the UK comics.  There is also great excitement about the forthcoming D.I.C.E. event - more information can be found over at the Platform Hub.

The boys at M.A.S.K. Movie and Erik at Boulder Hill are gearing up for a joint venture as they are going to do a review of the US M.A.S.K. mini series comics.  I've not done a review of these yet on my M.A.S.K. Comics blog as I'm concentrating on the UK comics.

However, I did a review of the M.A.S.K. Annual that came out in 1986, though.  This annual has reprints of the first two issues of this series and is well worth a read.

I'll be waiting in anticipation for their review and hope to get a chance to add my reviews on their blog.

There were many reprints of the US comics in other Languages, including the German Comics -

So should be something to look forward to!

Remember that the Bring back M.A.S.K. Campaign still needs your help and support to Share, Comment and Like!

Thank you,

Scott!

In the first issue of M.A.S.K. Comic UK, Matt Trakker is aged as being 28 so I guess he'll be 56 now and Scott will be 38!  Who'd have thought it?

Meanwhile, the Boys over at M.A.S.K. the Movie have released MASKast 35 a little insight into the M.A.S.K. Cartoon episode "Secret of the Andes".

M.A.S.K. War Room Update 2k views and Counting!

After my post last night there has been more interest in my Facebook Post and it has now reached 2K views, thank you,

But we still have work to do if we are going to make this Campaign to Bring back M.A.S.K. successful!

As well as views, my Facebook Page has seen an increase in the number of likes over the past week - now at 197 - but if I've had over 2k pageviews, there is no reason why I can't reach 2k Page Likes and 2k Shares of the Campaign post to raise awareness!

So far, there have only been 54 shares and most of them were by me!  So please Share the post and get the Campaign going!

And remember, it's not just the toys, comics and cartoons I'm looking to bring back, I have a script ready to go once #Hasbro are able to read it -

So, if you would like to see this and the rest of my script on the big screen remember to Share, Share, Share the Facebook Campaign and Like My Facebook Page.

The bigger the Campaign the more likely #Hasbro will hear about it and remember lets #assembleMASK!

Bring Back M.A.S.K. Campaign Update

I had hoped to be able to tell you that my Facebook Post to Bring Back M.A.S.K. had reached 2000 views, but I'm only at 1993 - tantalisingly close!

What I really want to do is to take Rhino and all of the other M.A.S.K. vehicles and make them "real" on the big screen.  In order to do so, we first need to Bring Back M.A.S.K.

I have the script and I have the ideas get the Trademarks back - Hasbro have already managed to get a couple of the Trademarks back by being creative - and I've been very creative.

So lets all join forces to bring it back!

Please remember that the Campaign to Bring Back M.A.S.K. has well and truly started.  Once you have Clicked on the Link, you will open up a Facebook post.  I'd ask you all to please visit this post and do the following -

  • Share the Post on your page and with your friends who you know are M.A.S.K. fans
  • Start discussions in the Comments on this Blog and on the Facebook post to help boost the pageviews and increase awareness
  • Like the Mask Comics Facebook Page
  • Tweet the page if you are on Twitter - paste the following into your tweet - fb.me/2pXW5Xe75
  • +1 your posts on Google - again using fb.me/2pXW5Xe75
  • E-mail your friends with the link
  • Make sure you Hashtag all of your comments with #assembleMASK and #Hasbro
I've never used Hashtags before so I was unsure what they did.  If you do a Google Search for #assembleMASK you will find my pages.  If you click on this in Facebook you will see all related conversations.

I need as much help as possible to highlight this Campaign and if you are as big a fan as me that I'm sure that you will.

If you want to be part of this blog and share your own posts, feel free to E-Mail Me and I'll add you as an author.

In the meantime, I still have my M.A.S.K. Comics Blog and my Facebook Page to keep you going until we Bring Back M.A.S.K.

Thank you,

Scott!

****M.A.S.K. War Room - #assembleMASK #Hasbro*****

Ok, lets keep the momentum going in the M.A.S.K. War Room - a Campaign to bring back M.A.S.K.

I made a post on Facebook the other day and so far it has had more than 1.8k views and growing.  But I need this Campaign to go Viral!

To view this Facebook post so that you can Share, Comment and like, the link to it is as follows -

I'd like to think that if you are as big a fan of M.A.S.K. as I am you would be willing to show your support in bringing this fantastic Franchise back.

I also need to you Hashtag each and every post with #assembleMASK and #Hasbro.

Currently, if you Google Search #assembleMASK, you will be directed to my blog.  If you are on Facebook and click on the hashtag you will see all relevant posts in one easy to find area.

I have written a script based on M.A.S.K. and I'm keen to make #Hasbro aware of it so that it might be read and considered for any plans they may have to make a movie.  However, we are all aware that the Trademarks for M.A.S.K. were all cancelled circa 1992 and cannot be reused for their original use.

I have come up with ideas that I believe will work to allow M.A.S.K. to be reborn.  You may ask, surely if there were away of doing this then the Hasbro legal team would be all over this?  Do I think I'm smarter than them?

No.

What I know is, I'm a creative person - hence my ability to write a script - and this creativity is what has helped me to come up with these ideas.

I need #Hasbro to sit up and take notice so that we can #assembleMASK

So, can you please tweet, share, comment, +1, etc., etc. etc....

Anything you need to do to help bring back M.A.S.K. - I promise you that my script is well worth it!

Thank you,

Scott.

Welcome to the M.A.S.K. War Room - #assemblemask

Welcome to the M.A.S.K. War Room - an attempt to Re-Assemble MOBILE ARMORED STRIKE KOMMAND!  #assemblemask

I made a post on my M.A.S.K. Comics Blog and my M.A.S.K. Comics Facebook Page letting everyone know I've started a Campaign to bring back M.A.S.K. - #assemblemask

Within 48 hours, my Facebook Post had 1.7k views.  I looking to build on that and I'm looking for help and support.  So, what can you do?

  • If you want to be part of this Blog, send me an E-mail and I'll add you on so that you can add content to help raise awareness of the Campaign.
  • +1 this Post and all subsequent posts on Google+
  • Share and Comment on Facebook
  • Share and Comment on Twitter
  • Hashtag #assemblemask on every post you make
As I said on my Facebook Page - watched a programme on TV that said "to start a Mexican Wave, you need at least 7 People to get it going".  My wife and I attempted this at a concert by by enlisting the help of those in front, behind and to the side of us.  After a few attempts, we managed to get it going round the whole auditorium.

My first post managed 1.7k views and using the philosophy above if we carry the Momentum now, we should be able to boost this on each and every post.

Remember to Share, Comment and Like.  The more Shares and Comments the post receives the more viral it becomes.

Thank you once again!

Scott.

Welcome

M.A.S.K. a world where illusion is the Ultimate weapon.

Starting in 1985, the fight between M.A.S.K. (Mobile Armored Strike Kommand) and V.E.N.O.M. (Vicious Evil Network Of Mayhem) raged on until the late 80's and petering out in the early 90's.

A Toyline by Kenner Parker, this series spawned 75 cartoon episodes, 13 comics in the US and 80+ issues in the UK.  Other countries had their own take on M.A.S.K. but many translated the US version into their own language.

For information on the UK Comics follow -
These are both managed by myself.  As well as discussing the M.A.S.K. Comics, find information on all things M.A.S.K. related - including my Script.  Yes people, I've written a script based on my favourite characters from the 80's - but I'm not the only one.

If you enter the realm of -
You will find Jason and Wyatt's website.  The "Competition", as they are affectionately known, have written their own script.  They started theirs a couple of years before I started mine and have their own blog to garner interest in their project.

They do a blog review of the M.A.S.K. cartoons and other subjects.  This is a very well put together site and is well worth a look.

I'll update you soon on other great M.A.S.K. sites!
